New Sanyo XP200L with 4 LCD projector technology is the focus of a new church/theatre venueOur church recently started a new service that meets in a local movie theater. Since it is a theater venue, we wanted to take advantage of its large main screen and really let the video be a focus. That meant that we needed to project a 25'wide image for sermon presentation slides, song lyrics, IMAG and a variety of video clips.
The expectation for how things should look was pretty high and I was worried about getting enough crispness and brightness projecting an image that large. So I started looking into what the right projector would be.
I called Dieter, my contact at CCI Solutions and I asked him what he thought we should do for the right projector. He suggested the new Sanyo PLC-XP200L with 4-LCD technology. He pointed out that even though this is not a huge projector in terms of physical size or even output brightness level, the 4 LCD panel would gave it a sharp image with very vibrant color and a great contrast ratio. He has seen A-B tests of the XP200L against machines with standard LCD at a similar brightness level and said he was blown away by how good it looked.
I had CCI Solutions send me the XP200L knowing I could return it if it didn?t meet our criteria. Frankly, I was a little skeptical when we got the unit in, not really knowing if it would cut it as far as what we wanted.
We fired up the projector and I have to say I was surprised at how great the image looked, even at that large size - in fact it went way beyond our expectations. So, obviously, we kept the projector and ever since, we're getting positive comments from everyone who sees it!
When I first started looking into what projector to get, I talked to some friends that had been in a similar situation looking for a projector that could project a bright, sharp image at a large screen size. The kinds of machines that they were suggesting were several thousand dollars more than the XP200L.
So thanks to Dieter and CCI Solutions we got a projector that more than met our needs at a price that was much less than I was expecting.
