The micro/mini sized microphone capsule located at the end of the min-boom sits very close to the sound source. This is partially why the sound is so much better; it is closer to the source. The E6i has been engineered to sound very crisp and offers different caps for the microphone capsule to change its characteristics, choose from the three that ship with the mic, normal, bright and extra bright. The microphone position closer to the sound source also helps with feedback and far exceeds the gain before feedback threshold of a lapel/lavaliere microphone. There are other reasons why the Countryman E6i is the number one microphone for pastors, its light weight, near invisisble size, durability and affordable price tag.
